Social Action

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavour? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

The Social Action ministry of Nechells Outreach Centre believes that the purpose of the church is more than just meeting within the four walls of a building.

As the salt and light of this world and the beacon of hope in the community, our desire is to be the practical hands and feet of Jesus.

We reach out to those in the community who are in need and provide a range of services such as food distribution and support to the local foodbank, children centre and senior citizen residential homes.

We provide counselling and support to families and individuals affected by gang and gun crime.

We also actively partner with local organisations and other churches including Nechells Methodist Church & St Vincent’s Catholic Church to put on community events that promote and enhance community cohesion to make a positive change in Nechells.

Some of the people we have have helped and projects we have undertaken
